I've Been a Bit Swamped but Now I'm Back!

Dear Imaginary Readers,

You may (or may not :-) have noticed I've been away a bit. Yes, well, as you know I'm a children's book writer. So I have been doing what children's book writers do--working on my new books. I've been swamped but it's been a good creative swamp and we writers need to venture there alone from time to time to capture more words on the pages.

But what better time to return to the Kidlitosphere than after the holidays, at the beginning of a new year (and a whole new decade!), and right at the start (or a couple of days after the start) of The 2010 Kidlitosphere Comment Challenge. Take a look here, here, or here for more details. Thanks to Mother Reader & Lee Wind for helping me get me back on the BlogWagon!

What do you think, Imaginary Readers? Is it possible for me (or you) to make 100 comments on Kidlitosphere blogs in 21 days, creating one new habit of reading and making 5 (or if you are starting late, 5+) comments on various blogs per day?

Forecast: A whole lot of bloggy commenting going on!

It's absolutely possible! And I can't wait to see what new children's books you've been working on. Hopefully they'll be shared with the world soon!

Good luck - (is there a writer's version of "break a leg"?)

Rebecca

Lynn, I just found your blog over at MotherReader. Your books look wonderful, and I love the Forecast at the top of the page! :)
I'm adding your blog to my follow list.

All my best,
Kim

That's the good kind of swamped. Much better than that no time to write kind.
Have fun!

I agree, your blog's title is perfect. Stopping by via the comment challenge and having fun browsing other blogs!

You can do it! I'm trying to do the same thing - it's been fun so far!

Welcome back, Lynn--I think it's possible to conquer the Comment Challenge. At least, I'm willing to try!! Though really, I ought to probably be MORE swamped with writing and less swamped with blogging...

Thanks everybody for dropping in, welcoming me back, and offering encouragement.
Rebecca, maybe "break a pencil?"

Wild Writing Trio, I tried to comment on your great blog, but my comments kept failing to break through.

Anon, thanks for embracing the murky swamp. Whoever you are, I appreciate it.

Jen, you are an inspiration with all you do and read!! I saw your 2009 list. Wow!

Jan, Kim, 100's of Revisions, and Brimful, thanks for stopping in.

And A. Fortis, it is always a juggle time-wise, isn't it? Sometimes I feel I should get one of those chess clocks for my desk-- you know those kinds with two timers on it for when each player finishes his/her move? Then I could challenge myself to a crazy game whapping down the timer as I switch roles from children's book writer to blogger & web explorer, giving each role equal time. But that's a whole other blog post.

In the meantime, good luck everybody, with your writing and blogging--and the time juggle required to do it all--or as my new BlogFriend, Rebecca and I will now say, "Break a pencil!?"

The blog challenge has been, er, a challenge. At least for me. But a good challenge, you know, the kind you have to muscle through because you just know that it is good for you. Finding your blog, for instance ...

Good luck!

Thanks for commenting on my blog, Lynn! I love having a connection with a "real" writer. Though I know I'm a real writer, just not published yet. But those of you who are published inspire those of us who aren't yet.

So how are you getting on with your challenge? I hope you're finding it as much fun as I have so far! Off to explore some more of your blog now....

Comment Challenge is fun and great--it does make you feel hopeful like there's people that can actually read your blog AND that there are so many other talented bloggers out there in this game with you! I love it. BTW, I love your imagination.

Oh, I think it's possible. With a bit of juggling. ;)
